DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a quadruple shooting that happened on the city's east side late Monday.

On Aug. 24 around 9:45 p.m., four male victims were at O'Brian Park in the area of Bradford and Kennebec when an unknown person possibly in a dark color Chevy Trailblazer pulled up and fired shots, police say.

As a result, all four victims were shot.

One of the victims returned fire, but it’s uncertain if the suspect was hit, according to police.

The victims were privately taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. While in route to the hospital, one of the victims got into an accident at 7 Mile and Gratiot.

Police say all victims were listed in either stable or temporarily serious condition. Two of the victims are in their mid to late 20s, while the other two victims are in their early 30s.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police 9th Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5940 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
