DETROIT (WXYZ) — A spokesperson for the Wayne County Prosecutor's office says they are considering homicide charges against him in four cases.
Warrant requests have been submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, which will determine if there will be charges, won't be charges or if they'll be sent back to the department for more investigation.

"It's heartbreaking," said Angela Colon whose sister, Yvonne Cobern, could be one of Martin's alleged victims. Detroit Police said they haven't ruled out that Martin is tied to Yvonne's murder. The 45-year-old woman died from blunt force trauma to the head. Her body was found June 10 on Brentwood near Woodward Avenue.
"I honestly think it's connected to him," Angela said. "I think he's a monster and I think he did this."
The victims Detroit Police have said are connected to Martin include 52-year-old Nancy Harrison whose body was found on March 19. She was killed by blunt force trauma to the head; 53-year-old Trevesene Ellis whose body was found May 5 but her cause of death is not known and indeterminate; and the body of 56-year-old Tamara (Tammy) Michelle Jones was found on June 5 but her cause of death is not known and indeterminate. Another case is also still pending.
Sources have previously said the February 2018 murder of Annetta Nelson is also linked to Martin. And Detroit Police are trying to find out if Martin is connected to the disappearance of Deborah Reynolds. On August 3, 2018 Ferndale Police picked up Deborah Reynolds and Deangelo Martin outside a convenience store in their city and dropped them off just inside Detroit. Deborah was never seen again.
Martin is already facing charges for allegedly kidnapping, assaulting and attempting to rape a woman in one case and in a separate case, facing attempted murder and rape charges.
At this time, Martin has not been charged with murder, but police have accused him of being a serial killer, suspected in the homicides of at least five women in Detroit since early 2018.
Police said they are aware of two women who survived attacks by Martin, and one of those women testified last month at Martin's preliminary examination.
The woman, who is in her fifties, testified that she was grabbed from behind in the early morning hours of June 3.
She passed out and when she regained consciousness, she said she was still being choked by her attacker but they were now in a vacant house with her attacker on top of her and some of her clothes had been removed.
The woman said she was fighting and struggling to breathe when she pulled out a box cutter that she kept in her pocket for protection.
"I flicked it," the woman testified. "And I stuck him, and I went back and I stuck him again."
She was able to break free and jump out of an open window and run to a nearby gas station for help.
The victim said she called her boyfriend to pick her up, and she said she didn't call police because she feared that she would be in trouble for stabbing someone, so she threw the box cutter in the Detroit River.
The woman later came forward with details of the terrifying attack. And it was Martin's blood from her sweatpants that tie him to the crime.
The woman initially named another man she knows from the neighborhood as her attacker because, shortly before the attack, he had asked her for sex at a nearby store and she called him an expletive and refused him flat out.
Investigators were able to identify Martin as the woman's attacker from his DNA on the bloody sweatpants.
