DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 5-year-old child is in the hospital after being mauled by dogs on Detroit's west side.
Police say the little boy was critically mauled by three to four dogs at a home in the 9000 block of Longacre.
An adult was was bitten by the dogs as he attempted to pull them off the boy. Police took both victims to the hospital. The child and adult are in temp serious condition, police say.
Detroit Animal Control was called to the scene to remove the dogs.
