Warren Police confirm they are investigating a report of an assault on a clerk at the 7-Eleven store located at E. 11 Mile Road and Dequindre.
Police say they received a call around 2:45 a.m. Friday.
A clerk reportedly said that he and a customer got into a verbal altercation, and the situation escalated when the customer shoved the clerk.
No one was seriously injured in the incident and we're told the customer fled on foot.
Police will be checking out store surveillance video later this morning as the continue to gather information.
