DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 70-year-old man was shot and killed Monday morning on Detroit's west side. Police are searching for a teen suspect.
His family said his granddaughter snuck her boyfriend into the home located in the 9000 block of Mansfield. When the victim realized the boy was in the house, he asked him to leave.
An argument ensued which ended with a struggle over a gun. The gun discharged, fatally wounding the elderly victim.
Police are still investigating the incident. The teen ran away from the scene shortly after.
