The Michigan Attorney General's office says 80,000 Michigan residents are among the 2.5 million additional people who have been affected by the Equifax security breach.

Equifax revealed that the breach was double what was originally thought last when, saying that 4.6 million people were affected in all.

However, those additional people may not be aware they were affected, because they were not listed by Equifax on a website consumers could check to see if their personal information was affected.

According to the AG's office, Equifax said they would be updating their website as of October 8 so that the information would include any of the newly discovered affected people.
