LINCOLN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Michigan State Police patrol vehicle was struck on I-75 in Lincoln Park overnight Thursday.

Police say that troopers were on I-75 near Dix in Lincoln Park blocking two lanes of northbound I-75 while a previous crash was being cleaned up on the freeway.

A vehicle did not stop and hit the driver's side of the patrol car and continued northbound. Troopers stopped the car and the driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. The driver's alcohol results were twice the legal limit, police say.

Police say that the patrol vehicle is drivable and has about $2,000 to $3,000 in damages to the front driver's side and front bumper. The suspect vehicle was towed from the scene. Police say there were no injuries involved.
