Too often no one is held responsible in cases of animal cruelty and neglect, but 39-year-old Nathayai Washington is charged in connection with her emaciated mastiff that was found clinging to life.
In December 2015, the dog was found on Washington's property and he was in such bad shape that he could barely walk.
Providing For Paws, an animal rescue, raised the funds needed to get the dog they named "Tyson" the emergency veterinary care that he needed.
Tyson is now being fostered by Stephanie Bullard and his recovery has been amazing!
As for Washington, she's been charged with animal cruelty and is due back in court Tuesday. She's been released on a personal bond.
