(WXYZ) — So who is the winner of the now infamous chicken sandwich Twitter war? Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken? Chik-Fil-A? Wendy’s? KFC?
If the drive-thru lines and traffic jams over the past few days are any indication here in metro Detroit, Popeye’s new buttermilk battered fried chicken on a brioche bun seems to be coming out on top.

Today, Popeye’s sought after chicken sandwich seems to have flown the coop!
Every location our 7 Action News crew went to was completely sold out. One location saying the sandwiches won’t return until Wednesday or Thursday.
The news is ruffling some feathers, but those who’ve tasted the sandwich say it’s worth the wait.
