Beer company Anheuser-Busch has stepped up efforts to help victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana by distributing water instead of beer.

According to the company, they are sending three truckloads, equal to more than 155,000 cans of water, to flood-ravaged communities in Texas and Louisiana.

An initial truckload was sent on Monday to the American Red Cross in Baton Rouge thanks to the Cartersville brewery in Georgia with the help from Mockler Beverage.

According to the company, two other truckloads are being sent to the American Red Cross in Arlington, Texas.

They said the Cartersville brewery halts production periodically throughout the year to prepare canned drinking water to be ready to help American cities in a time of need.

“Putting our production and logistics strengths to work by providing safe, clean drinking water is the best way we can help in these situations," Vice President for Community Affairs Bill Bradley said.

Last year, the company also sent a truckload of canned water to Flint during the city's water crisis.
