Ann Arbor investigating 2 armed robberies involving people wearing clown masks

Ann Arbor police are investigating two armed robberies that involved a person wearing a clown mask. 

Lt. Matt Lige says the first incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a BP gas station located in the area of Washtenaw and US-23.

The suspect produced a handgun, announced a holdup and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect is described as a male, wearing a clown mask and a hoodie.

In the second instance, a male matching a similar description robbed a Domino's Pizza store located in the area of Plymouth Road and US 23.

The suspect was also armed with a handgun and fled with an undisclosed about of cash.

Police are working to obtain surveillance images and video.
