WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — More than 5,000 people are expected to walk in support of those with special needs during Friendship Circle's annual Walk4Friendship fundraiser.

“It’s amazing to think back over a quarter of a century and realize how many individuals and families we’ve helped and how many lives have been touched by Friendship Circle’s programs,” said Bassie Shemtov, director and co-founder of Friendship Circle. “Each year, Walk4Friendship gets bigger and better. We’re looking forward to another incredible event this year. We are so grateful for the community’s continued support.”

The 14th annual walk is Sunday, Sept. 1, and features the Xpogo Stunt Team showing off mid-air tricks.

This year's goal is to raise $600,000 for local children, teens and adults that are served by Friendship Circle.
