Another Harper Woods police officer has been charged in a separate drug case. Officer John Biernat is charged with controlled substance use of narcotics, cocaine and ecstasy.
Officer John Biernat was arraigned on August 11. An internal investigation resulted in the charges.
Bond was set at $7,500 with conditions of no alcohol or drugs use.
Biernat will be back in court on August 23. He could face up to a year in jail if convicted. He is currently suspended without pay.
This comes just two days after another Harper Woods officer was charged for possession of heroin and theft from the department.
