If you’re in the market for a car, there’s a new tool that may be able to help you narrow your search.

Blippar, a company that's working on an augmented reality search browser, has just added auto recognition to its app.

According to the company's website, this tool can recognize all cars in the U.S. market built between 2000 and 2017.

It’s all thanks to artificial intelligence technology.

After giving it a whirl, here's how it works: Users just have to point the app’s camera at a vehicle they want to learn more about. The app then populates a suggested make and model, and gives the user a variety of additional information like average customer rating and price.

There’s also an option to get a 360 degree view of the inside of the car.

Blippar says in a news release that the app accurately identifies vehicles more than 97 percent of the time.

I tested it with my car and it was right on the money. It seems to work with photographs, too.

The neat thing about the app is it doesn’t just work with vehicles, you can also use it to get more information about objects around your house.

It even seemed to recognize Angela Lansbury from a calendar on my desk.

The Blippar app is free on iOS and Android.
