We are making our way to the weekend, which means it's time to know what’s happening Around Town.

LEGO lovers have a place to go this weekend.

“Anybody who loves the interaction and to see the LEGO that’s big designs,” said Chris Leach of the Michigan LEGO Users Group.

The Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi is the place to be this weekend. Brickworld LEGO Exposition will show off 40,000 square feet of LEGO work.

More than 100 artists will be on hand with displays, Leach said.

“We love the hobby so we want people to come in and see what we created, see what we spent our months and hours of doing, and we’d like to show it off to the public,” he added.

The event is Saturday and Sunday with tickets costing $13.

The replica of the Chrysler House took Chris six months to build and more than 25,000 pieces.

The surrounding area took a couple of hours.

“We set up the roads. We set up the people. The traffic lights. The street lights, put the track together. Set the buildings in place. Put the cars on it. Attach the track together, wire it up and there you go,” Leach said.
