Bath Township officers arrested, put on administrative leave

BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Two Bath Township police officers were arrested in Grand Rapids following an altercation. Those officers are now on administrative leave, according to the police department.

The department released a statement on the incident on Facebook Wednesday evening.

The post says that the two officers were involved in an altercation, Tuesday night, which ultimately led to their arrest.

"We know the level of professionalism our community expects of us and we hold our officers to that same standard," the post read. "This entire incident shines a negative light on not only our department but our community."

The department didn't provide any additional information regarding the details of the altercation.

Both officers are now on administrative leave pending a full investigation.
