DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police have released shocking video of a brazen suspect who attempted to carjack a 58-year-old woman during the day on the city's east side.
The attempted carjacking happened Friday, March 15 at 4:45 in the 700 block of Woodward. The victim was getting into her vehicle when the male suspect rushed her and started yelling for her to move into the passenger seat.
The suspect tried pushing the victim over to the passenger seat, but the woman pushed back. Passersby came to the woman's aid, then the suspect fled northbound on Woodward.
The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a plaid gray and black coat with a black hat
