Broadway in Detroit cancels 'The Phantom of the Opera' performance due to state of emergency

(WXYZ) — Broadway in Detroit announced Wednesday that this evening's "The Phantom of the Opera" performance has been canceled to extreme weather conditions and a declared state of emergency.

The production was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m.

Organizers say, "The performance is not able to be rescheduled due to the national tour's travel schedule but there are a limited number of tickets available for other remaining performances."

Those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will receive an automatic refund. Tickets purchased with cash or in person at the Fisher Theatre or Detroit Opera House box offices can call Broadway In Detroit at (313) 872-1000 for exchanges or refunds.
