Caesars Windsor is opening it’s doors for the first time since workers walked off the job in early April.

It’s been a little more than 60 days since workers left Caesars Windsor and left the hotel and casino without staff for gaming, restaurants and entertainment. A new contract was approved by Unifor Local 444 this week, and workers could be seen making there way into the building around 6 a.m. on Thursday. The casino released a statement on Wednesday that the venue would officially re-open at 11 a.m.

The doors open as the property celebrates it’s 10th anniversary.

The end of the strike wasn’t an easy step. Union members voted down two separate contracts over the 60-plus days that the doors remained closed. The final deal comes with an immediate signing bonus and staged wage increases for three years.

Hotel reservations are now available through the Caesars Windsor website.

If you’ve previously purchased a ticket to a concert or comedy show, they have since been rescheduled. You can use the ticket to attend the show at it’s new time, or you can begin the process to get a refund.
