CANTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Canton man was arrested and charged with 18 counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to the Canton Police Department, 53-year-old Shailesh K. Patel is being held in jail after being denied bond during his arraignment.
Police say their investigation began after a victim filed a report of abuse dating back several years. THey worked with the FBI task force and SEMTEC, the Southeast Michigan Trafficking and Exploitation Crimes.
