SANDUSKY, Ohio (WXYZ) — Cedar Point announced it is opening to passholders on July 9, with passholders and resort guests being able to get into the park starting July 11. The amusement park said it will welcome back the general public soon.

According to Cedar Point, they are taking several safety precautions amid the COVID-19 outbreak, with face masks being required and at least one person in your group having the mobile app.

All guests must reserve their visit in advance, and health screenings will be required for all guests and associates.

"We want you to have a great day at Cedar Point and feel safe when visiting, so we developed an extensive reopening plan – new processes and enhanced procedures throughout the park to help reduce the spread of germs. We're all in this together and by working together you can safely and confidently enjoy the thrills, giggles, and endless smiles that only Cedar Point can deliver," an email to passholders read.

Some rows for the rides will be unavailable due to social distancing, and rides will be sanitized frequently.
