After the shooting in Dallas that left five officers dead, many are showing their support to law enforcement.

A little boy and his friends spent the afternoon handing out bottles of water and pop to police officers as a way to say "Thank You."

Five-year-old Carter Caplis and his friends got their favorite snacks ready to hand out.

He hosted an event at the Walmart parking lot in Chesterfield Township to say thank you to law enforcement.

They had water, pop, chips, cookies and pizza!

Mandy Caplis, Carter's Mother, explained, "We wanted them to be able to meet police officers and troopers. We want them to see that they are friendly, they're nice."

Some officers were more than happy to accept the invite after the recent tragic events.

Clinton Township Police Officer Nicholas Dykas explained, "Things like this is the easy part of the job. We get to sit down and talk with the kids and they eat a chance to talk with us... realize we are approachable, come on in we are more than happy to talk with you... show you the cars."

Six-year-old Easton Bennett was happy to participate. "By giving them water chips and snacks and pizza," he said.
