TAYLOR (WXYZ) — The first time Ferren, whose last name is being withheld, encountered the peeping Tom, she told him she was armed with a gun but that didn't make him flee right away. It happened when Ferren, who works nights, was parking after returning home from work.

"I stopped and I asked him if there was a problem," Ferren said. "He proceeded to lift up his shirt. He had no underwear on or pants, and he masturbated in front of me. I screamed and I told him that I had a CPL and I will pull my gun. He attempted to masturbate harder. I reached for my gun and then that's when he took off running."

Ferren said that was the first out of five disturbing incidents in the last year with the man who appears to be fixated on her and her children.

Ferren, a single mother of two, lives at the Westminster Park Apartments, which are located off of Goddard Road near Telegraph not far from the police department.

Taylor police tell 7 Action News that they're investigating and they believe the suspect may live in the same apartment complex because they cannot locate him when they arrive.

Ferran said the incidents have taken place between 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. as she's getting home from work or shortly after.

The latest reported incident took place very early Wednesday morning as she was parking.

"I came home from work and he was at my window, looking into my window and masturbating to my children," said Ferren who immediately turned her high beams on and the man ran off.

The suspect's description is vague. Ferren describes him as a dark-skinned black man in his 30s, standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a short fade. He wears black boots and a long red plaid flannel shirt.

Anyone with information on a suspect is urged to contact Taylor Police Lieutenant Marc Gaynier in the Detective Section. The number to call is 734-374-1446. Tips can also be emailed to mgaynier@ci.taylor.mi.us.

Ferrer said she doesn't just worry about her family's safety.

"It's for other people's safety," she said. "They might not be armed. I am armed and I do not know what this man is capable of."
