Could Detroit break a world record for most food trucks? It's possible

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The city of Detroit could be a Guinness World Record holder as the World's Largest Food Truck Rally is partnering with Detroit River Days to bring more than 100 food trucks next weekend.

According to the event on Facebook, they expect more than 120 food trucks to come to the event at West Riverfront Park. It will happen on June 21 - June 23.

The trucks will come from across the country, including from Ohio, Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Iowa and Indiana.

The world record for largest parade of food trucks is 121, set by Generation Food Truck at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Fla. on March 29, 2014. The world record for largest food truck rally is 158 set at the Penang International Food Festival in Malaysia on April 28, 2018.
