It's the smart home some are calling the iPhone for housing. Kasita, the Austin based start-up says this modern micro home is designed to fit in the heart of the city.

They can be stacked four high and as wide as you want.

But at just 350 square feet, this tiny home is also designed fit right in your backyard. And they're now for convertible features that maximize space. For example, the living room doubles as bedroom.

The stairs convert to storage, but the biggest draw is technology.

Speakers, smart thermostats, lights, TV -- Kasita says there’s thirty thousand dollars worth of it inside, and it all connects to cater specifically to the homeowners' needs.

But it’s about more than just convenience. Starting at just $89,000, this micro dwelling is being evaluated by experts as a way to relieve the shortage of desirable and affordable metro Detroit homes.
