(WXYZ) — A Michigan judge has dismissed a Trump campaign lawsuit that was filed in an attempt to stop vote counting in our state.

The campaign filed the suit on Wednesday, alleging that the state did not allow election challengers to view the counting of absentee ballots or video of the collection from these ballots from drop boxes. During the Thursday hearing, Judge Cynthia Stephens found that the lawsuit was filed too late and that vote counting has been completed.

The lawsuit also asked for access to video recordings of absentee ballot drop boxes. Judge Stevens found that the campaign did not show a substantial likelihood of success warranting immediate action by the court and that she wasn't convinced the Secretary of State has a legal duty to provide it.

New filings came down on Thursday for motions to intervene from different groups.

Judge Stevens says she will issue a written ruling Friday afternoon.
