Craigslist concert ticket scam claims victim in Bloomfield Township

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Bloomfield Township police are investigating a Craigslist scam involving concert tickets.

On April 27, officers responded to the 4000 block of Telegraph Road for a fraud complaint. The victim reported he purchased two concert tickets on Craigslist for $230 and sent the money via Western Union to the Texas seller.

All communication stopped after the money was received, according to the victim. He tried contacting the seller multiple times and the phone number was no longer in service.

Their investigation is ongoing.

The Bloomfield Township Police Department is warning residents about the dangers of making purchases online using sites such as "Craigslist," "Let Go," and "Facebook Market Place."
