DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Dearborn mother is facing charges of food poisoning after police say she put eye drops in orange juice in an effort to make her boyfriend sick.

According to police, 21-year-old Arrieana Yednock put eye drops in her boyfriend orange juice after she became upset with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend, not knowing anything was in his drink, gave some of the orange juice to their children. The kids then started complaining of having an upset stomach.

Police say Yednock admitted to spiking the drink.

The children were checked out at the scene and were found to be uninjured.

“You know it’s unspeakable what can I say you know? For any child to be harmed in any way by a parent that is suppose to be the care giver- the nurture, it’s unspeakable,” said Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad.

Yednock was released on a $5,000 personal bond.
