Police: Person of interest in Dearborn non-fatal shooting believed to be armed and dangerous

DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Dearborn police are on the search for Jimmy L. Mitchell, 25. He's a person of interest in a shooting that critically injured a 24-year-old man in the 24000 block of Boston on Jan. 15. He's believed to be armed and dangerous.

The details of what led to the shooting have not yet been released. However, police say the shooting victim was taken to an area hospital shortly after where he was listed in critical condition.

Police say Mitchell is 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. Mitchell frequents the areas of Detroit, Hamtramck and Dearborn Heights, police say.
