The search is on for an angry bicyclist who punched a young teenage girl while they were both on Paint Creek Trail in Lake Orion.

It happened Saturday around 10:30 a.m. as 14-year-old "Ashley" was walking with three younger relatives on the trail that is shared by bicyclists and pedestrians.

The teen thought she heard someone from behind tell her to move to the left. The next thing she knew, a man on a red mountain bike had struck her, causing him to fall off of his bike.

The man began yelling at Ashley as he got back up. We're told the man then punched her in the shoulder and told her to run.

The teen ran to a woman who was also nearby and told her what happened.

Witnesses describe the man, who Ashley said spoke with an accent, as Hispanic and in his 50's.

He had gray hair and wore a yellow bandana before stopping to put a helmet with a GoPro camera attached on his head. He was riding a red mountain bike.

Anyone with any information on the bicyclist is urged to call the Orion Township Substation of the Oakland County Sheriff at 248-393-0090.
