City council to vote on long list of demolitions

Dozens of blighted buildings could be officially put on the chopping block today.

The Detroit City Council is expected to move forward with a long list of demolitions.

The list includes 100 addresses-- all nominated to come down.

It's a story in Detroit that 7 Action News has covered time and again. We've shown you the terrible, dangerous conditions left by abandoned and vulnerable buildings. 

It's not a new problem in Detroit, but tearing them down is a process.

The city council's Public Health and Safety committee is set to vote on this list of houses today.

The homes and buildings are spread across the city, each now facing demolition.

The committee is expected to meet at 10 a.m.
