The final day of Detroit Homecoming kicked off this morning at Motor City Casino's Sound Board.

Starting off the morning, General Motors Executive Mark Reuss addressed  the crowd and spoke about Detroit's schools and the importance of strong schools in a city that's on the comeback.

He talked with our Nima Shaffe following his time on stage and mentioned the importance of S.T.E.M. education. S.T.E.M. which stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics is an important piece of the education puzzle and said to be one direction we need to move going forward.

Throughout the morning, faces familiar to Detroiters graced the stage to discuss the importance of being apart of the renaissance and turn around in this city.

ABC News Correspondent and Detroit area native Bob Woodruff was part of a panel discussion this morning speaking to Detroit and its changes. His daughter recently moved to Detroit to work for a start-up.

The day will wrap up just after the noon hour.
