A 20-year-old Detroit man was charged in connection with the fatal beating of a Florida woman early Saturday morning.
Police said Tykese Keaton-Baldwin beat Brittany Collett, 23, to death at a home on Prairie Street in Detroit.
Police were called to the home around 5:30 am and found Collett face down on the grass, surrounded by blood.
She was taken to a local hospital where she later died. It was determined she died of blunt force trauma. Collett is a Clearwater, Fla., resident.
Keaton-Baldwin was charged with second-degree murder.
