Detroit man charged with driving car over 2-year-old girl after argument with her uncle

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged Michael Fogle, 36, with running over a 2-year-old with his car following an altercation with the girl's uncle in Detroit.

The incident happened Oct. 25 at 5:52 p.m. in the 13690 block of Mecca Street.

Fogle allegedly got into an argument with the girl's uncle while they were standing outside. As Fogle drove away, he allegedly backed his car into the 2-year-old and then drove away.

The child was then taken to a local hospital and treated for multiple injuries.

Fogle is charged with reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function, failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing serious impairment, operating while license suspended causing serious injury and two counts of felonious assault with a motor vehicle.

He'll be arraigned Friday, Nov. 1 in 36th District Court.
