A Detroit man is reaching out for the community’s help after his tools were stolen from his truck three times in the last 40 days.
“They just rip everything off the top and take all my expensive stuff,” Jason Montry said.
He is trying to start a small roofing company but having to spend money to replace tools isn’t helping.
“It’s coming to the point where I can’t even grow as a business in this area,” Montry said.
He has captured the thieves on camera, but police say it’s hard to make out their faces. Montry says they are parking at a nearby bar then jumping his fence to get to his truck. He hopes by putting the security footage out there someone will recognize them and turn them in.
“All it takes is the people coming in to make it better,” Montry said. “And for people to say something, step up and call the police or do something about it when they see that.”
