Ouch. While we totally disagree, 24/7 Wall Street found that Detroit is the worst city to live in in America.

If that wasn't enough, the study also found that Flint is the second worst city to live in.

They call the city "the poster child of American post-industrial urban decline," and mention the fact that at its peak there were 1.8 million residents, which has fallen to fewer than 700,000.

"A poor, economically depressed city, more than one in every three Detroit residents live below the poverty line," 24/7 Wall St. writes. "The city also has one of the highest unemployment rates in the United States, with 10.9 percent of the workforce out of a job.

"Detroit is also dangerous. Along with Las Vegas, it is one of only two cities nationwide where there were over 2,000 violent crimes for every 100,000 residents in 2016," they added.

Their methodology includes collecting data from nine different categories including crime, economy, education and more.

Maybe the folks at 24/7 Wall St. missed the story that named us the second best city in the world to visit in 2018.
