In 2012, after graduating from Bowling Green State University, Tomeka Kolleh purchased a one-way plane ticket to New York to chase her dreams.

She didn't have a job offer or a consistent place to stay, but she had a goal to work for Diddy.

"It is a struggle; I can definitely say it wasn't always positive," says Kolleh.

The 26-year-old interned at different startups before landing a job at Remy Cointreau. Now, she works for Combs Enterprises. Basically, goal accomplished: she works for Diddy.

"You get so many nos in the industry, you’re like 'maybe I’m not cut out for this like I thought.' I kept the mindset of, if this is what you love to do, there’s no other option," says Kolleh. “You have to have tunnel vision. I don’t have everything figured out, but I am truly blessed to be where I am.”
