DETROIT (WXYZ) - Fans headed to the Detroit Tigers game on Wednesday afternoon are being warned to watch out for thieves.
Several organizations, including Detroit police, will be handing out fake tickets to people who leave valuables in plain sight in their vehicles.
It's not an actual parking ticket, but a mock ticket that let's the person know they left something valuable in the car. Police say it's those things that tempt thieves.
If you do get a mock ticket, it will tell you the estimate value of what was in your car, just so you can think about what you could lose.
