An investigation is underway after attempted abductions of three schoolgirls in separate incidents, but that took place in a similar time frame.
According to police, the incidents all happened in November.
The first incident took place on November 7. A 15-year-old female was walking home from school near MLK Boulevard and 3rd Street when the suspect walked up behind her and grabbed her jacket. The suspect asked her how old she was and then grabbed her by the back of the pants. The victim was able to run away.
The suspect in the case was described as a black male, approximately 40-years-old, 6'0", salt and pepper beard, full mustache, dark complexion with a medium build. He was wearing a grey and black striped beanie, black jacket, black shirt and grey jogging pants.
In the second incident, police say a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school near Ogden and Michigan on November 17 when the suspect began to run after her. The victim got close to her school and the suspect stopped following. The suspect was described a male, approximately 27, 6', wearing all black, in black jeans with black shoes.
In the third incident, a 17-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man approached her grabbing her from behind by the waist. It happened at MLK Boulevard and Grand River. The victim screamed and the suspect told her "calm down, I am trying to ask you a question." Another man shouted at the suspect and the victim was able to get away. The suspect in this incident was described as white male, 30, 5'8", 160 lbs. with black hair and brown highlights, wearing glasses.
