DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: Latron Ashford has returned home and is safe, according to police.

Detroit police are looking for a 10-year-old boy who left home without permission Tuesday. His mother says she believes it's because the boy may have gotten in trouble at school.
Latron Ashford remained at school in the 16100 block of W. Chicago while his sister caught the bus home Tuesday afternoon.
Latron is 4 feet tall and has a medium brown complexion and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a blue hat, gray coat, beige pants, red and black shoes and a black backpack.
