Detroit police search for 63-year-old man who took caregiver's car

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for your help finding a missing 63-year-old man who uses a wheelchair.

According to police, Phillip Mason was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of John C. Lodge where he resides. He left the location after taking the keys of his caregiver while she was cleaning the back room.

Phillip reportedly uses a wheelchair and has a guardian, and he is incapacitated, his family said.

He was last seen driving a 2010 red Ford Fusion after leaving his wheelchair at the home. He has left before in the past.

He is described as a black male, 5-feet-7, 150 pounds with brown eyes, short salt-and-pepper hair and wearing a lime green t-shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.
