The scene is now clear and students are back in class after an evacuation at Gesu Middle School in Detroit. The evacuation was prompted after a maintenance worker discovered suspected explosives. The Vietnam-era explosives were reportedly inert, but the bomb squad removed the devices as a precaution.

According to police, a maintenance worker discovered suspected explosives. They are believed to be historical devices from the post-World War II time period.
Police are asking people to avoid the area and the bomb squad is on scene.

A Detroit school has been evacuated as emergency crews investigate a suspicious package that was found.
We're told it's happening at Gesu Catholic School near McNichols and Livernois on the city's west side.
Chopper 7 was over the scene which showed several emergency vehicles on scene and students outside of the school. The students were eventually walked away from the school.
Police are waiting for bomb squad to arrive.
