Detroit police seek help locating missing resident with dementia

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are asking for the public's help in locating city resident with dementia who was last seen at his home in the 10000 block of Sterritt Saturday.

James Woods, 67, was last seen on Oct. 26 around 6:30 p.m.

Police say he told his caregiver that he was going to sit on the porch at the time, but when the caregiver went to check on him around 7 p.m., he was gone.

Woods is 5 feet 11 inches tall, slim build with dark complexion. He has gray hair and gray facial hair. He was last seen wearing a red hat, blue jacket, beige pants and black gym shoes.

Woods is in poor physical condition and has dementia. If you know of his whereabouts, please contact Detroit police at 313-596-5540.
