Missing Detroit teen found after mother says she's concerned for her well-being

DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: Niya Sealey returned home safe and sound Tuesday night, according to Detroit Police.

Detroit police are looking for a missing teen who was last seen leaving her home on Monday, April 15. The girl's mother says she's concerned for her well-being because the teen has never run away before.

Niya Sealey, 17, was last seen by her sister at her home in the 14000 block of Collingham Dr. at 3:30 p.m. on April 15.

According to a release, it is believed that Sealey was headed in the direction of Cousens and Nine Mile Road.

Sealey is a black female. She's described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. No description of what the teen was wearing was provided.
