It appears Detroit wants Amazon – it wants Amazon bad.

A new poll from CNBC/SurveyMonkey Small Business Survey says Detroit is the most enthusiastic contending city for Amazon’s HQ2 prospects.

The quarterly survey, conducted Nov. 20-Dec. 4, focuses on mostly small business owners, however, more than 10,000 other people in the US were included, and asked about their thoughts on a second Amazon headquarters.

More 3 out of 4 people living in and around Detroit said Amazon coming to Detroit would be a good thing. Detroit scored 77% on that question, while Boston scored 61% and Dallas came in at 60%. The city that scored the lowest was San Francisco/Bay Area.

And Detroit wants the promised 50,000 jobs to come with the new headquarters the most, according to the survey.

Detroit scored the highest on the percent of population that wants to work for Amazon, 28% said yes, meanwhile in Atlanta 26% said yes, and in Houston, 24% of residents want to work for the online retailer. San Francisco/Bay Area again scored the lowest on this question, with just 10% of residents wanting to work for Amazon.
