Detroit woman allegedly injured husband with sword during argument

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A Detroit woman is facing charges for allegedly cutting her husband several times with a sword while they were having a verbal argument, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Reanetta Moore, 44, is charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault and aggravated assault.

The incident happened Jan. 24 around 6:30 a.m. Moore got into a verbal confrontation with her husband, Robert Joiner, 35. Then the argument escalated. When police arrived, they found Joiner lying on the living room floor, bleeding from cut wounds to his left side and the back of his neck. The alleged sword used was in the dining room with blood on it. The weapon was confiscated by police.

Joiner was taken to a local hospital where he is still receiving treatment.
