A violent altercation ends in a shooting and crash, now the U.S. Marshals need your help finding the man they say is responsible.

The Marshals say it’s a miracle no one died in the incident on Detroit’s west side last month.  But, next time the victims may not be so lucky and that’s putting Darrell Jones at the top of the U.S. Marshals Most Wanted List.

“Jones gets in an argument with some guy on the west side of Detroit and what we do know is Jones requested his girlfriend to get him a rifle,” Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Garcia said. “She gets him the rifle, he turns around, he butt-strokes this guy in the head.”

That was only the beginning of the violence police say Jones is responsible for.

“Victim number one falls on the ground, struck in the head, and he’s out cold” Garcia said.

He says that’s when the victim’s brother got in the car to follow Jones and shots were fired.

“Jones opens fire through the windshield of the vehicle, shooting several shots, it’s a miracle this guy isn’t dead right now,” Garcia said.

It caused the car the victim was riding in to crash and Jones to be on the lamb ever since.

“We believe Jones is still in the area, west side of Detroit, southwest side of Detroit,” Garcia said.  “We believe he is being helped by friends, close friends, associates, and they’re gonna be charged.”

Darrell Jones is 37-years-old- he’s 5'9" and 175 pounds and considered to be armed and dangerous.

“Darrell Jones is wanted for assault with intent to murder.”
