DETROIT (WXYZ) — We're expecting to learn more today about plans to makeover Spirit Plaza.
It's located at the foot of Woodward and East Jefferson, next to the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in downtown Detroit.
The remodel will begin Sept. 4, after the Annual Jazz Fest. Planned improvements include added green spaces and a playscape.
A news conference is planned at 11:30 a.m.
It'll include more details on the nearly $800,000 dollar project, as well as drawings of what the new and improved Spirit Plaza will look like.
