We’ve all been there, your favorite show is on—but the couch is so comfortable—and you’ve had a long week.

The worst thing is waking up at the end of an episode. That's the ultimate spoiler.

Well, Netflix wants to come to your rescue.

The streaming media company has introduced Netflix Socks. These socks will reportedly pause your show automatically when you nod off on the couch.

The best part: these cozy wearables aren’t for sale. Instead, Netflix has provided instructions on how you can DIY them.

This involves an understanding of electronics and microcontroller programming. You also have to know how to use a soldering iron.

Basically an accelerometer in the sock detects when you’ve stopped moving for an extended period of time, and signals to the TV to pause Netflix.

But before your sock pauses the show, an LED light on the cuff will give you a warning.

This DIY project, Netflix says, is inspired by ideas from users. The company hopes to collect more thoughts on what could make the viewing experience better—and you can submit your own ideas right on their website.
