A second Republican has thrown their hat in the ring to replace U.S. Rep. Dave Trott in Michigan's 11th district.
- Republican Rep. Dave Trott from Troy not seeking re-election
- Rocky Raczkowski to run for Dave Trott's seat in MI's 11th district
Donald Trump for Michigan Co-Chair Lena Epstein announced Monday she will run to replace Trott, who said last week he would not be seeking re-election.
Epstein had said she would run for Sen. Debbie Stabenow's seat, but will give up her bid for Senate to run for Congress.
Also on Monday morning, former Michigan House Majority Leader Rocky Raczkowski said he would run as a Republican to replace Trott as well.
"I cannot ignore the requests from supporters, grassroots Republicans, and business leaders from throughout southeast Michigan who want to be sure that Republicans nominate the strongest possible candidate to hold this congressional seat," Epstein said in a release. "As a businesswoman and community leader in southeast Michigan, my background and experience have prepared me to be the most effective advocate for the people of the 11th district."
